Privacy policy
This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit rws-solutions.ch, write to us or work with us, why we do so and what your rights are. It complies with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, in force since 1 September 2023) and, for visitors from the European Union and the EEA, with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In short: no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party service loaded during your visit. Your data stays in Switzerland.

2. Data we process and why
Visiting the site
The server automatically records technical logs: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and system, referring page. They are used only to run the site, protect it against abuse (bots, intrusion attempts) and fix errors. We do not use them to identify you or build a profile. GDPR basis: our legitimate interest in a secure site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Contact form, email and phone
If you write to us, we receive the information you provide: name, company, email, phone, type of need and message. Only name, email and message are required. The form sends your message by email to our address; it is not stored in a database on the server. A hidden field is used to detect bots and contains no data about you. We use this information to reply, arrange a meeting and prepare a proposal. GDPR basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
Clients
If we start working together, we process the data needed for the assignment: contact persons' details, content supplied for the site, correspondence, quotes and invoices. GDPR basis: performance of the contract and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
When we build or host a client's website, that client remains responsible for the data of its own visitors; we then act on its behalf and on its instructions.
3. Cookies, analytics and third-party services
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It uses no Google Analytics or other analytics tool, no advertising pixel, no social media button, and no video, map or font loaded from another server: everything is served from our hosting in Switzerland. No consent banner is therefore needed.
Links to our clients' sites or other sites open external pages with their own rules. If we ever add an analytics tool, this page will be updated first and your consent will be requested where the law requires it.
4. Who receives your data
We do not sell or rent your data and do not use it for advertising. It is only shared with the following recipients, as far as necessary:
- Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva: hosting of the site and email, as processor;
- for clients, our accountant for bookkeeping and invoicing;
- authorities, only where the law requires it.
5. Where data is processed
The site, logs and email are hosted in Switzerland. We do not transfer your data abroad. For EU visitors, Switzerland is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection.
6. Retention
- Technical logs: a few weeks, as set by the host, unless needed to handle a security incident.
- Enquiries that lead nowhere: deleted no later than 12 months after our last exchange.
- Clients: for the duration of the assignment, then 10 years for quotes, contracts and invoices, as required by Swiss law (Art. 958f of the Code of Obligations).
7. Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The server is protected against automated submissions and accepts data only through the contact form. Access to messages and client data is limited to the people who need it for their work.
8. No automated decisions
We make no decision about you on a fully automated basis and we do no profiling.
9. Your rights
At any time and free of charge, you can:
- find out whether we process data about you and receive a copy;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate;
- ask for it to be erased or restricted;
- object to its processing;
- receive the data you gave us in a common format, or have it sent to a third party;
- withdraw any consent given, for the future.
Write to contact@rws-solutions.ch. We may ask you to prove your identity and we reply within 30 days. Data we are legally required to keep (such as invoices) cannot be erased before the legal period ends.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, www.edoeb.admin.ch. If you live in the EU or EEA, you can contact the data protection authority of your country.
10. Changes
We may update this policy, for example if the site changes or the law evolves. The version published on this page applies.
